Ukraine is known as the educational hub in Europe. There are six types of Higher education institutions in Ukraine; each awarded a certain level of accreditation known as universities, academies and conservatories. However UMEC gives scholarships to students form second year onwards who provide reference students for further studies in Ukraine to the extent of entire fee depending upon the number of students joining based on his or her reference.
Most popular Medical Courses offered by various Universities of Ukraine:
- Medicine: duration of the medical course is 6 years; degree awarded is doctor of medicine (MD or MBBS);
- Dental: duration of the dental course is 5 years; degree awarded is bachelor of dentistry (BDS);
- Pediatrics: duration of the course is 6 years; degree awarded is doctor of medicine (pediatrician);
- Nursing: duration of the course is 2 years; degree awarded is bachelor of nursing;
- Dental orthopedic: duration of the course is 2 years; degree awarded is bachelor of dental orthopedic;
- Post graduate studies: duration of the study is 2-3 years.
Students completing the medical degrees in Ukraine are eligible to apply for International Licensing exams like USMLE (USA), PLAB (UK), MCI Screening Test and all other licensing exams around the world.
Admissions are carried on first come serves basis. Students fulfilling the requirements get admissions from 1st July to 1st October of every year. Students need to clear entrance exams along with the past performance play a major role in the admission, thereby making the admission process selective.
