Cost of Study and Living in Ukraine for Students

The cost of study in Ukraine is cheap as compared to other European Nations.  Ukraine is considered one of the preferred destinations for Asian and African students. Schooling in Ukraine is also beneficial to students as they receive scholarships for further studies. 

Students receive concession on travel within, out the city and also outside the country. The students get text books from University Library. They have to spend on stationery, which is very cheap. The fooding is very cheap in Ukraine.  The staying facilities are also granted to the students at subsidized rates. The students of Ukraine are granted scholarships which reduce the cost of studies. The students are allowed to do part time Jobs to sustain their living. 

The Universities provide extra recreational facilities in the campus to the student, which turns out to be cost effective to them. The Universities being non profit bodies charge low fee from the students. The fee structure being low attracts large number of International students. The resident students of Ukraine are assisted with scholarships depending upon the academic performance. 

The components of study in Ukraine cost are as follows:

• Admission Processing Cost (APC) – Procuring  Admission forms and processing the forms.
• Tuition Cost (TC)-  Fee for the course
• Accommodation Cost(AC)- Cost of stay in Ukraine rented , hostel , or private hostels. 
• University registration Cost (URC) – Registration charges  for the university and residential permit. 
• Medical  Test and check up cost- Physical fitness test  as required by various universities. 
• Insurance Cost – Healthcare insurance as required by various universities.
• Arrival Cost – The cost incurred on arrival to a city different from where university exist. 
• Documentation cost- documentation translation, authentication as required by embassy and for visa processing. 
• Travel cost- cost of travelling from own country to Ukraine
• Visa processing cost- The charges involved in visa fee and any other legal cost 
• Company service cost- The intermediary involved in rendering services for admissions and stay etc.

While taking admissions in Ukraine the admissions may or may not be successful, whether directly or through registered companies providing services cost component is involved in it.  Students in Ukraine pay their tuition fees by their own means, it means study in Ukraine is totally based on self finance system and even  no part of full scholarships are given to international students. Students can do part-time using knowledge of computer and internet, jobs like helping other students study etc. During summer breaks go to other countries for full time job. 

However UMEC gives scholarships to students form second year onwards who provide reference students for further studies in Ukraine to the extent of entire fee depending upon the number of students joining based on his or her reference. 

The cost of study depends essentially upon the course accepted by the students and then the university opted by them. Each university has it own fee structure depending upon the city in which it is based in Ukraine. The cost component for each student will be different from each other.
